Ontario pharmacists who have completed the required training can administer many routine vaccines and prescribed injection medicines.
What kinds of injections and vaccines do you offer?
Our injection services go well beyond the yearly flu shot. We can provide many common vaccines and many prescribed injection medicines.
Common vaccines may include:
- flu shots
- COVID 19 vaccines
- RSV vaccines
- shingles vaccines (e.g. Shingrix)
- pneumonia vaccines
- tetanus and booster shots
- hepatitis vaccines
- HPV vaccines
- meningitis vaccines
- MMR vaccines
- chickenpox vaccines
- other travel vaccines, when appropriate and available
Common prescribed injection medicines may include:
- vitamin B12 injections
- osteoporosis injections (e.g. Prolia)
- some allergy or specialty injections (ask us for details)
- other doctor prescribed injection medicines, when appropriate and available (e.g. Ozempic, Depo-Provera, etc.)
Availability can depend on your prescription, age, product supply, and pharmacist assessment. Ontario rules set age minimums for some vaccines, including flu from age 2 and older, COVID 19 from 6 months and older, and most other listed vaccines from age 5 and older.

Can I get my regular medication injection at the pharmacy?
In many cases, yes. If your doctor has prescribed an injection medicine, contact us first so we can confirm if we can provide and administer it safely at the pharmacy.
Why get your injection at Queensville Pharmacy?
Appointments are easy to book, care is private, and our team makes the process simple. From routine vaccines to many prescribed injections, we are here to help you stay protected and on schedule.
What type of injections can your pharmacists provide?
Our pharmacists are trained to give injections under the skin and into the muscle. Muscle injections are given in the upper arm, in the deltoid muscle. If your medication needs to be injected into the buttock area, please contact your primary care provider to arrange that service.
Is there a fee for this service?
Some vaccines and injections are covered under public health programs, while others are not. For medications or vaccines that are not publicly covered, a service fee will apply. If there is a fee, we will let you know before your appointment.
