Virtual Walk-In Clinic

Need to see a doctor but cannot wait weeks? Visit Queensville Pharmacy and our team can book you into a next available virtual doctor appointment right from the pharmacy.

You will meet with the doctor in one of our private clinic rooms. These visits are OHIP covered for eligible Ontario patients with a valid health card, with no extra clinic fee for the appointment itself.

How does the service work?

You must come to Queensville Pharmacy in person to use this service. Our team will help get you booked in, and you will connect with an Ontario physician by secure virtual visit from one of our private clinic rooms. The full visit is often under 30 minutes, although it may take longer during busy times.

Is there a fee for the appointment?

No. The virtual doctor visit is OHIP covered for Ontario patients with a valid health card. There is no extra fee for the appointment itself. If the doctor prescribes medication, regular pharmacy fees and any insurance coverage rules still apply.

What can the doctor help with?

Virtual visits may be helpful for many common concerns, including colds, flu symptoms, allergies, skin concerns, urinary symptoms, infections, prescription renewals, lab requisitions, referrals, preventive care, mental health, sexual health, chronic care follow up, and more. Virtual Health Clinic also notes that doctors can provide medical advice, prescriptions, and referrals when appropriate.

Can every medical issue be treated through this service?

No. Not every concern can be managed virtually. The doctor must be able to assess the issue safely by virtual visit. If a physical exam is needed, it may be better to go to an in person walk in clinic, urgent care clinic, or your primary care provider.

Do I need to book ahead?

These appointments are booked at the time you visit the pharmacy. You can also call us first if you want to ask about wait times or whether your concern may be suitable for a virtual visit.

Do I need to come to the pharmacy, or can I do the visit from home?

For this service, the visit takes place at Queensville Pharmacy. Our team will check you in and connect you to the doctor from our private clinic room.

How long does it take?

Many visits are completed in less than 30 minutes from start to finish, but timing can be longer during busy periods.

What happens if I need a prescription?

If the doctor prescribes medication, we can help fill it for you at the pharmacy. Standard pharmacy fees, copays, and insurance coverage rules apply.

What should I bring?

Please bring your Ontario health card and a list of your current medications. It is also helpful to know your symptoms, when they started, and any treatments you have already tried.
