Walk in and ask for a free naloxone kit. Queensville Pharmacy provides free take home naloxone kits through Ontario’s pharmacy program. You do not need a prescription, and you do not need a valid Ontario health card to receive one.
Kits are available in both nasal spray and injectable forms.
What is this service?
We provide take home naloxone kits along with pharmacist guidance on how to use them in an opioid overdose emergency. Ontario’s pharmacy program makes naloxone available at no charge through participating pharmacies.
Who can get a free kit?
Anyone in Ontario can ask for a free naloxone kit at a participating pharmacy. A health card is not required.

Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in visits are welcome.
Do I need a prescription?
No. A prescription is not needed to receive a free naloxone kit through the Ontario pharmacy program.
Will someone show me how to use it?
Yes. Our pharmacy team will explain how to use the kit and what to do in an overdose emergency. Ontario pharmacy guidance also expects pharmacists to provide education and written information when naloxone is given out.
